Electing One Instead of Seven

The democratic form of looking after welfare activities , has become fashion everywhere. We generally find an elected group/committee consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, Cultural Secy, Sports Secy, and few more. It can be for employees welfare in a office, for residents welfare in a society, for students in a college, for a hindi samiti or a finance committee for helping people .

The craze to become a political leader , plays a dominant role. People try to get involved in this type of bodies and elections. When it is an elected group, it becomes easy for calling meetings, discussions. The elected committee calls general body meetings for any small thing. Functioning of such groups are found not yielding . Meetings end without conclusions. The group tries to take public support for working .

A single person can exceel in this type of activity. We find good lessons from life history of Kings who ruled in the past. Kings looked after welfare of their kingdoms. They consulted experts in different fields according to the need. If any thing went wrong only King was blamed.

With modern mass communication facilities, it is possible for a single person to work efficiently following certain guideline from the general body and consulting people from different fields when required.
