Sachin Tendulkar has notched up his 68th century in Ranji trohpy matches. In his first domestic match after 23 months, Sachin was at his vintage best against Saurashtra in their semifinal match at Chepauk Stadium in Chennai on Monday.

All though, it was a Wasim Jaffer show all the way for Mumbai, Sachin was never let go off his pace. Wassim scored even triple ton while Sachin knocked off the ton in 126 balls studded with half-a-dozen hits to the ropes and another five over the ropes.Sachin took to crease after Ajinkya Rahane was out for 85 with Mumbai score 334 for the loss of two wickets. Only yesterday Sachin had patted Rahane for scoring 1000 runs in a calendar year and his skipper Jaffer too joined Rahane into the club. A rare distinction for Mumabi.

Since the tour to Pakistan was scrapped by the India governement over the 26/11 fallout of Mumbai attack, most of the Indian international players are keeping themselves fit by participating in the domestic circuit.

Is it good for Sachin to play in Ranji matches, when players top international cricket teams are worried about too much of cricket played now days?
