WAS it supposed to be about female empowerment, wish fulfilment, self-realisation or clandestine romance? Can't say, 'cause nothing really comes through in this completely garbled venture which sees Raima Sen sharing sweet nothings with ready-for-a-fancy-dress Randeep Hooda who happens to be as unreal as the film itself.

Maybe, it was about a rock band, a la Rock On? But the struggling artist thing too does not filter across through the efforts of a dowdy housewife who pulls down her mouldy harmonium and sings folk songs in a television contest. Raima, the forgotten doormat heroine tries her best to cope up with her rotten marriage and routine motherhood, while her chauvinist husband, Arbaaz Khan, has a bit on the side with a carrot-crunching hottie. When she can take it no more, she conjures her own private genie (bare-chested Randeep Hooda with a flute and faux fur) who tells her to follow her dreams and find her happiness. Turns out, happiness lies next door in the form of a wannabe band that needs a lead singer to hit the limelights.

The rest is Hooda in brocade, Hooda in satin, Hooda as a bandmaster, a sailor, a cowboy, a flautist until you begin to wonder if this film is actually about a woman's search for identity or a non-happening Hoodunit. Doesn't work at all.
