A Film called Bollytics

One fine day I was thinking of a Sarkar one of RGV's masterpiece. Piercing deep into a thought about the film, I realised that to a greater extent politics and bollywood have been together. Movie makers are using political personalities for pulling a right cord of general public and Political parties are using Film personalities for the voters.

The question that I am looking for an answer is are the film personalities as good actors in real life as in reel life. Govinda is one good case study for failures sake and I can say so because the same has been mentioned by media as well. But has personalities like Jaya Bachan, Jaya Prada, Navjot Singh Siddhu, Dharmendra, Hema Malini, proved them selves as good as a politician as they were as in their line of profession.

SP is on a spree to get as many film stars in his party as possible. It seems as if he is about to produce a multi-starrer movie in the history of Indian Politics. Amar Singh has already created a history by offering crores of Rupees to purchase services of fellow politicians for passing a bill although it is yet to be confirmed from official sources but as an Indian we all know the extent to which things are controlled in political arena be it riots in Indian Capitals or bomb blasts in various cities.

My questions are can Sanjay Dutt be as assertive as he is in his films. I can think of Shatrughan Sinha who has been powerful personality in both politics & films. But we cannot expect the same from every single film candidate. Have anyone heard of Dharmendra after he won last election? Has his power deteriorated since then? Thing is filmstars thinks that politics is as easy walk of life as a film in itself. We general public vote a known person against a potential candidate just to realise later that our words fall on deaf ears. Think again before you vote in forthcoming election. Who is the potential candidate, the one who can do or the one who might do? You still have a vote in your hand.

I have one request to all the readers of this blog Lets not fall prey to the candidate's popularity.......
