Make office package easy to use: Editing word document

This the first Blog related to Office package Make easy series, I’ll discusses word first, then excel & then power point which are the most basic application one has to know. But be practice all the steps to learn more.

It is very difficult to first type & then edits a Word document as a beginner. Some tips are here to improve your speed of editing a typing.

We all know the shortcuts, but commonly we don’t use it, we prefer to use mouse or touch pad(I am not saying don’t use the mouse), in place of keyboard shortcuts that’s why we forget the shortcuts. There are more than 500 shortcuts in ms word but, there is no need to remember all of them at the same time. Don’t waste your time on searching the shortcuts.

** Firstly select the text / put the cursor in the word like teIxt then only use these shortcuts.**

  1. Bold the text : Ctrl + B
  2. Italic the text : Ctrl+I
  3. Underline the text : Ctrl + U
  4. Take the cursor at the end of the Line : End Key
  5. Cursor at the starting of the Line : Home Key
  6. Change Case : Shift + F3, (1.UPPER CASE, 2.lower case & 3. Title Case)
  7. Go back to previous step : Ctrl + Z
  8. Repeat a Step: F4 { like u want to paste a like 5 times then copy the text by pressing Ctrl +C then paste it by Ctrl+ V for first time then use F4 for next times…}
  9. Left Align : Ctrl + L (See example bellow 1.Text)
  10. Center Align : Ctrl + E (See example bellow 2.Text)
  11. Right Align : Ctrl + R (See example bellow 3.Text)

  1. Align Justify : Ctrl + J (Align the document from both sides- left & right)
  2. Find a word/ text/ line: Ctrl + F (fill the text you want to find then press find)
  3. Goto a Page: Ctrl + G (put the page number & then press OK)
  4. Save the document : Ctrl+ S
  5. Save as : F12 (saving file in a folder/ in PD (Pen Drive)
  6. Use Right click button from the keyboard (given between Alt & Crtl key on right side of the space bar) instead of mouse.
