Talking Money
What part does money hold in your Life?
With every new day we wake up and toil for one thing “Money.” In the time of the current economic crisis, we have seen countries doing everything to revive their economy because they believe money is their security. No wonder they are spending sleepless nights trying to save the economy. For the corporate houses you will hear people saying “Money is the lifeblood of a company.”
When I watched the movie “Aap Ka Suroor,” and I saw Himesh’s boss telling him that money could do everything I was not surprised when he blackmailed Himesh after refusal to perform at the world tour where this unfaithful boss would get more money to satisfy him. Money has made people to do crazy things ranging from using fake weights to atrocities like murder, all in the search for more money. No wonder money is the root of all evil.
The one million dollar question is “What part does money play in your life?” For the Christians we know that God owns all wealth and that is why money is a major topic in the bible. God intended to protect us from becoming slaves to money. Do you realize that people spend more time at work places to get more money than with their families?
Money is not evil but is simply a medium of exchange. Extra caution should be taken while using money. Take for example, many people are eager for the month to end so that they get their salary and do you know what they do first? They rush to the super markets to spend it. Money has made us to be in debts because we use it carelessly. Take a look at most of our Bollywood stars, many of them do not ask the question how will I get the money but ask how will I spend the money I get?
To acquire money we should work, save, invest and give but not exploit others. Giving to others blesses our hearts especially when we give them something they do not have. Money has made us very greedy to an extent that those around us mean nothing. We have seen instances where those who have money minimize those who don’t have. It is just a paper or coins but when you get it you just desire to get more and more. Well as you hold it in your arms ask yourself a question what part does money play in my life?
