RJD MP Pappu Yadav gets nod of 'Jan Adalat' against overcharging doctors
Accompanied by wife and Congress MP from neighbouring Supual Ranjeeta Ranjan, Yadav held "Jan Adalat" at Patel ground in Saharsa to know opinion of people whether to take on doctors "overcharging" common man.
At the outset, the RJD MP from Madhepura told the gathering about his argument with doctors and discussion with state chapter of Indian Medical Association (IMA) on the subject.
The RJD MP has criticised private doctors and nursing homes charging "exorbitant" fees and other charges.
Yadav has claimed that his agitation was in tune with policies and programmes of Lalu Prasad, Nitish Kumar and Jitan Ram Manjhi.
The MP has recently taken a vow that he and his Congress MP wife Ranjeeta Ranjan would go only to government hospitals.
IMA and Bihar Health Services Association (BHSA) have protested Yadav's action.
Meanwhile Bihar Congress chief Ashok Chaudhary who was in Saharsa in connection with party's membership campaign told reporters that Yadav has raised a genuine issue but his way was not justified.
