Merit Scholarships

OSB offers merit scholarships to encourage meritorious students. These merit scholarships are initially based on the marks obtained by the students in the bachelor’s degree program. They are limited to the top 10% of the students in OSB.

General Merit Scholarships

Students who secure 60% and above marks overall, in their bachelor’s degree program are eligible to receive scholarship amounting to 25% of tuition fee, while students who secure 70% and above marks overall in their bachelor’s degree are eligible to receive scholarship amounting to 50% of tuition fee. This scholarship will be applicable for first Semester. For subsequent semesters scholarship are based on CGPA scores at the end of each semester, subject to the overall limit.

Merit Scholarships for Women

OSB has instituted merit scholarships to encourage meritorious women students. Women students who secure 60% and above marks overall in their bachelor’s degree program are eligible to receive scholarship amounting to 35% of tuition fee and those who secure 70% and above marks overall in their bachelor’s degree are eligible to receive scholarship amounting to 60% of tuition fee.

Students who are appearing or awaiting results of their final year bachelor’s degree examination may also apply for General Merit Scholarships and Merit Scholarships for Women based on their cumulative marks obtained up to and inclusive of pre-final year of their bachelor’s degree. The decision for such students will be taken only after submission of final year mark sheets.

Student Assistantships

During 2nd year at OSB, selected students may be offered Student Assistantships to support the faculty in research and tutorials for selected courses and to assist in the computer lab. Such students will be offered a stipend of Rs.3, 000 per month. OSB Scholarship Committee will assess the applicants and recommend assistantships for each semester. Detailed guidelines will be provided in the Student Handbook.

Students will have to apply separately for each scholarship and assistantship with the necessary supporting documents. OSB does not undertake any responsibility to offer any scholarship or assistantship on its own. Decision of OSB Scholarship Committee is final and binding on all applicants for scholarships and assistantships.

Merit-cum-means Scholarships

Merit-cum-means Scholarships is offered to the needy students. The details of eligibility and conditions are provided in the Student Handbook.

Bank Loans

OSB students can avail education loans from banks in their respective city/town. OSB will provide guidance and support to students for availing the loans.
