THIS IS UNFAIR ANNA
I have believed that Anna Hazare is being used as a pawn by vested interests in the alleged fight against corruption in high places. The Team Anna as it is now called has arrogated to itself the task of policing all the errant politicians in the garb of civil society members. They claimed to be apolitical all the while while suddenly they have upped the ante convassing against voting for Congress Party in the Hissar bye election in Haryana simply because the party has not yet responded to their demand of written undertaking to support their Jan Lokpal bill. They had earlier made a climb down to accept to the standing committees ' prerogative to study all the anti corruption bill drafts including that of Jan Lok Pal and incorporate major 3 demands in the final draft which was to be presented during the coming winter session. Now they have decided to expose themselves leading credence to beliefs that they are being propped up by BJP and RSS. Santhosh Hegde has expressed his dissent in singling out a particular political party for whatever reason for there are good people across the political spectrum. The issue seems to have slipped out of Anna in to the hands of the wily Bhushan Duo, Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal each of whom have a grouse against the ruling dispensation.
Anna you should desist from such attempts to highjack your andolan for political benefits for it will undermine your credibility. This is unfair. You could launch a political party of your own and attempt to clean up the augean stables rather than allow others to ride a piggy back on your movement for electoral gains. Another attempt by middle class int he garb of civil society has been made and this needs to be fought. Congress party should take up this challenge and disprove that such machinations do not work in a democracy
