CONFISCATE THIS WEALTH
We have been reading through columns of newspapers the amazing wealth stealthily preserved by some Godmen- this includes the late Bagwan Sathya Sai baba whose disciple list is a who is who of Indian politics, business and higher echelons of society besides many common people benefitted largely by his public service activities through his ashram. No doubt Saibaba is held in high esteem by his discipline and ofcourse he has done immense social service by providing clean drinking water and water for irrigation to Ananthapur district which probably no other human has ever done. But the fact that some of his material wealth was stocked in his private home- Yajur Mandir with no accounts whatsoever raises the unlawfulness of such an activity in the first place no matter how powerful he was in his life time and how close he was to the power centres. Even a very brilliant and scholastic judge as PN Bhagwati is so devoted as to claim all his judgments were dictated by Baba. There was a commotion about some illegal movement of cash from the ashram premises which was later denied by the high profile trustees who claimed the money to be an offering by a devotee to build samadhi. The Government should issue a proclamation immediately to all peetadhipathis, madadhipathis all over India who hold vast tracts of land , jewels, movable and immovable property and unaccounted cash of politicians to come foward with a voluntary declaration and order for confiscation of such wealth if not propery accounted and explained for. That will be huge booty to finance the next 5 year plan
