A real life story of a man from Jodhpur-how he was to die and no hope to live.......

Mr.XYZ, aged 52, met with an RTA(Road Traffic Accident) 3 months ago in Jodhpur when his motor cycle collided head on with a bus coming from oposite direction. He had severe head injury, collapsed there itself and gone to coma. His remaining family and relatives at Bangalore in dep shock and all rushed to Jodhpur. Immediately he was taken to Ahmedabad for surgery.the Orthopaedic did his best inspite of in coma. The XYZ had complete multiple fractures in his both wrist,Right ankle, right lower end of Tibia and fubula,Right knee, right lower end of Femur, right neck of femur.Everywhere open reduction surgery was done with internal fixation with screw and plates.Ironically post operative physiotherapy was badly neglected and he was advised not to go ahead with any such procedures!!!(??)
For head injury coma as well memory loss he was rushed to Chennai and was under treatment for one months, where he merely gained consciousness. The traumatised family at Bangalore, who are my friends past 10 years brought him to Bangalore in same pathetic conditions on 14 Aug 2008.he was really indeed in bad shape. No memory where he is, what had happened, both wrists full of pain, complete right leg from Hip to ankle swollen and started rotting due to lack of proper physiotherapy and movements with stiff knee.In such cases the pain is too high and might lead to re- collapse.
I had no way other than to continue immediate intensive physiotherapy and psychotherpy to him as well the family.Ironically by then I did discovered that he is an old patient of HBSAG positive( Generally known as Hepatitis B positive) till diagnosed in Ahmedabad ,with no cure( He is the reservoir).Since I touched and dealt him much before without any precautions, to save the life and give a new life, I had no option other than to sacrifice my own life in this case.A high risk I took.None to blame as the family did never showed me the particular document endorsed with the warning sign! (This is real life of a medico)
Day by day he gained his memory back, a smile and one fine day he strted walking with full weight bearing.I have taken consultation of Dr.HPC Khincha,a noted orthopaedics and joint replacement surgeon at Bangalore- who is my Guru as well close family friend.A go ahead by this doctor, I got more courage and two days before his departure after one months extensive physiotherapy and rehabilitations,he started climbing the stair case.On the day of his departure, he did climbed up 20 steps two times to meet his all relative living upstairs of the same building and the entire flat was full of joy and cheers!!This scene of a traumatised family really works more than the blessings of God.Although this moment I really enjoyed by staying with them for 6 hours, the jyous celebrtions amoingst the women, kids are unforgottable. On 17 Sep 2008 night he elft Bangalore for Jodhpur- not as a supposed to be dead or handicapped man.But as a cheerful normal man.The train carried him away to his home, where his newborn grandson was waiting eagerly to see grand father.......
I wish all professionals devote their lives with such honest attitudes for the better human kind health as well the society. My saying is if you do good, no disease will catch you. Will never get infected at all.God is taking care of.
This is the way of Indian thinking.I feel so.

Recent news is that the village celebrates his walks somewhere 20 km from Jodhpur city.
