WALKING INTO DEATH- none can stop it!
But I never knew this cheering man will sleep once for all.One of the rich an from Bangalore city was diagnosed with mouth Cancer( Ca Facio maxillary) more than a years ago and was under various treatments at almost all the big hospitals of the city.He was under Chemotherapy/Radiotherapy etc and suddenly in the last year(2007)I found him to grow old faster with massive hair loss and dry skin, too many blisters all over the body, painfull body, only liquid diet, a feeding tuybe directly being inserted to the Stomach, making him to look alike an alien! A charming gentleman turned into different look man, owner of the prestigious old Aparrel company of the city. Wish I got him or he got me at the right time when he really needs helping hands. He was my first such Cancer patient, to whom I devoted most to take care of his post Chemotherapy effectes corrective therapy with physiotherapy, non stop oozing out ulcers dressings, cleaning without any gloves as physiotherapy procedures are always without gloves and as told all comes at high risking. The man believed upon me and my works and remained cheerful for past one year. But the cancer have their ow life span.Hope keeps alive more, not money.None would have even touched him, seeing his conditions and the foul smell of ulcers...
One he did asked me to get Assam Bengal vegetables etc as I used to get for me.Then I come to guess that his days are accounted.I did agreed to get him Assam bengal vegetables as available in HAL market. When death is almost, the soul needs lot and we as human being or medic must ensure their well being at any way out. This process is called as the ultimate peace. It dnt come only with last rites or prayers.I believe on it as in 1984 I lost my mother due to lack of medical facilities...The man was back to job as MD of the company and fine.
While I was engazed with the Jodhpur man, this man one day called me for more physiotherapy as he felt some difficulties and I found a big hole in his cheeks ( Initially that blister was neglected by then his Oncologist as normal,I only warned him for the consequences).I was sad to see.he asked my advise to which hospital he should go for better surgery to do the reconstructive surgery.I forbid him one hospital. But he did choose that only! When death is eminent, none can stop the death walk.I had the fear of seeing him for the last.basically we have limited life in this heavenly earth and the human body got limited tolerance to hell of medical surgical procedures upon it.
I never knew that ha happened. The day the last Jodhpur XYZ relative came back to Bangalore after dropping him, on 27 Sep 2008, the Rajasthan patrika condolence board message did shocked me.This man died mostly during surgery at the specific hospital on 19 Sep itself. While I bid adeu to him for quick recovery and seeing me again in a good mood,( on 12 Sep), I could never imagine that indeed he did walked to death- the most waited for him.Hospital nor the system to be blamed. Its his soul- the AATMA- to choose the right place.the right oncologist as he predicted to be the best- only to certify his death certiicate.
Still I remember his last farewell to see me again! But sorry Sir- I was celebrating another mans cheers!! I am deeply sad missing you.May God give you the ever best peace with Him.Surely we will meet there one fine day! This is life! We do live only once.
