(IN) HUMANITY in Hospitals on regular basis.
As a lone man to stand against the growing menace by the mushrooming hospitals in name of humanity, I am proud to alert people. Its more than visiting temple for Gods blessings - as I feel.
Of recently on Jan 21/2009, a man named Arokia Dass met with an RTA, as his bike was banged by some car from behind and fled. He was in coma for 30 days at VIMS Marathahalli. Bill was big, but none did realized the consequences of a RTA (Road Traffic Accident). They never felt to make a thorough check ups for al the parts for other injuries, fractures, ligament tear or joint dislocation etc. May be they are not aware of, nor studied well during their MBBS and PG in concerned subject. or some donation seat students cum rich doctors in a Honda car with king khan style. When he gained conscious, he was discharged and at the patient complaint, they said nothing on the knee. He was given long course of pain killers. Although the consultant being an Ortho. Mr Dass was on pain killer for long months till today. The Doc was unaware of the consequences of prolong pain killers. For his (Rt)Knee ligament injury, he was never asked to undergo Physiotherapy.
Fed up with all, Mr Dass went to HOSMAT on 14 May 2009. he was immediately advised by the concerned orthopaedic surgeon for a MRI. ( it cost 6,500 there as the machine is old version with mere clearity).Initially he was given again pain killers. On 18 May, he got MRI done. Inspite of MRI revealing anterior Cruciate Ligament thin, mild joint effusion due to previous fall in Jan 09, and tear in lateral meniscus at right knee, the so called Orthopaedic surgeon at HOSMAT told him only to meet Dr Thomas Chandy. Appointment to Dr Thomas was given after 21 days!! On the 21st day Dr Thomas was out of country. There was none to see this poor man, although HOSMAT got big name and fame all over traffic junctions.
Mr Dass returned with frustration and started taking own pain killers as prescribes by VIMS Marathahalli. Since ligament tear or injury there is severe in nature thus lowering calf muscle tone and power in lower leg, he couldn’t withstand the weight of his own body and fell down in front of his office. He was lucky enough to be close by of the unit of Wing Commander (Dr)VG Vasishta( Rtd), CEO at SBF Healthcare Pvt Ltd of cytotron Therapy. His right elbow got dislocated and immediately Wing Commander Vasistha took him to his unit and did fixation of dislocated elbow with POP.This entire treatment was free, no charges levied on humanity ( The military way dealing for real life humanity).
Now one can see the vast differences between a military doctor and the private hospitals (In) humanity. This man visited me last evening as Wg Cdr Vasistha removed his plaster and asked for extensive physiotherapy. I was shocked to find all the details. I am also from military and feel, unable to realize why there are so much of differences in humanity?? Any answer please? Why no law to punish those mushrooming anti medical looters in name of health and Humanity?
Even the infants are not spared off free vaccinations anywhere. St Philominas Hospital is around 125 yrs old in Bangalore. They talk more for humanity as the Christianity talks for. They do charge for infants Polio, DPT.Nothing comes free, although they get tax exemptions under IT act 80 various sections as well service tax etc. They also get tax free donations in huge USD. The cost per immunizations stands at Rs.750/-!!! Imagine the baby needs to begin his/her corruption from there itself. The polio drop given carries those infection. More shocking is the Govt public Health Center at Viveknagar. FREE treatment is too expensive else face verbal abuses or no stock words. For kids free immunizations one need to pay cash to the nurse Rs.125/- per visit per child. I have informed TV9, they did some sting operations. Hope since then it is stopped. But what about those mission hospitals talking about God and humanity? What about free health by the Govt of India, or the WHO??????? Is not all money matter??
Next time you visit any hospital, be sure to know more legal provisions to be safe and fight against them and their dadagiri.
