In colonial India
many British clubs posted notices that dogs and Indians are not allowed in the
club. That was the time when India
was subservient to foreign rule and the British wanted to keep the Indians
under their feet.
The situation changed in the midnight
of 15th August 1947 when India
was re-born and it got its new horoscope. From 1947 onwards the country passed
through the Mahadasa’s of Saturn, Mercury and Ketu during which the country
could not make rapid progress. However, in the Mahadasa of Venus from 12th
September 1989 onwards the country made exemplary strides.
India is right now passing through the last antardasa
of Venus, to be precise, the antardasa of Venus / Ketu till 12th September
2009. In my last article “The Second Innings of Dr. Manmohan Singh.” I stated
that “the problems emerging in foreign lands relating to economic, political or
social problems of ethnic Indians will continue to affect the country”.
The ending antardasa in any Mahadasa
is commonly known as “dasa chhidra”. This is the period when the planets
prepare us for the next Mahadasa. From 12th September 2009 the Mahadasa of Sun
is starting as per the horoscope of India. Sun will help India to become
a power to be reckoned with. But, superpower status is not achieved by being
dependent on others.
As per Vedic astrology,
the Mahadasa of Sun placed in the 3rd house is good. India is also going to benefit for
which foundations have already been laid. India has voted for a stable
government. At the helm of affairs is nationally endorsed Dr. Manmohan Singh, leading
the country as Prime Minister. The Mahadasa of Sun will pass through the regime
of Dr. Manmohan Singh. Destiny is preparing India for a bigger role and it is
ready to take-off. This may be a thing of envy for others. It is getting
reflected in global hate for Indians.
We, as Indians have to value our own
resources and rely on our own talent. We should not waste our valuable foreign
exchange to enrich other countries. The ending Mahadasa of Venus / Ketu intend
to teach us an important lesson. We have to utilize our resources in such a way
which can enhance our national pride.
The Mahadasa of Venus that passed for
20 years on India,
bestowed great financial strength on the country. Foreign exchange reserves
improved substantially. Whether the world community likes it or dislikes it, the time of India has
arrived.India
is the largest democracy in the world and it has successfully concluded the
general election to the Lok Sabha in 2009 under the shadow of terrorist
threats.
Indians have also proved their
managerial capabilities by moving the IPL matches lock, stock and barrel to South Africa.
Cricketers from every country were given equal chance in these matches.
However, what happened in Australia
with Indian students is a different story which is sad.
There have been attacks in London
on a Sikh temple. Air France's
recent discrimination on Indian passengers has also been noted. More than four
attacks on Indian students in Australia
in a month have taken place. The students who went to study in Australia were forced to fight for their
security under the umbrella of “Federation of Indian Students in Australia”.
Fingers were also raised in South Africa
during IPL matches when the coaching staff of Kolkata Knight Rider’s team
misbehaved with Indian players on alleged racial grounds. They should have
noted that the organizers of the IPL matches were Indians. A student studying
in USA in the state of Mississippi was also
beaten black and blue and was reported to be in coma.
The coming Mahadasa of Sun makes it
necessary for India
and Indians to rise up and learn to achieve the status of a superpower. Change
of mindset of the Government and the people is a must to achieve that status. India has to
learn this before it’s too late.
Our country has a very large consumer
market and every other country wants to take advantage of this market. Even
superpowers are coming here to earn. But, they should also show friendly
gestures. The norms have been violated many times in recent days. It is for the
government to take note of these outrageous violations because India is much
different today than it was in the 1960’s and 1970’s.
We admire Amitabh Bachchan for
refusing to take honor from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.
Such moves will help in restoration of our national pride.
