today i am going to show you how you can find a ip-address of a website & find the location of the server.

please follow the steps below:

1. At your computer's desktop go to start & click on run.

2. now in that type "cmd" {without quotes}

3. now this will open command prompt & you will see the usual screen

4.type "tracert (website name)"

example:

the screen in comand prompt will be something like this

C:documents and settingsshree>tracert www.gmail.com

this will trace all the active ip address of the webportal.

5.now the first ip address & the last ip address are same that you see in the screen, is the ip address of the web host.

6. now logon to www.ip-adress.com/ipaddresstolocation

and type the ip address in the box below & press enter, it will take you to the location of the server in map given.
