How to end corruption in India

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

The Prez and the PM both are known to be really clean. If they start a campaign, I am sure the Media will join enthusiastically. That should indeed make a powerful beginning. But how far even that can go would depend on the Most powerful person ( you know who) - dependence on a dozen political parties for survival of the Govt. may prove the villain.
We are doomed not because of the level and spread of corruption so much, as due to the fact that values have changed in the society to such an extent that the corrupt are no longer either condemned or even shunned.
How to implement this?
Is the Transparency key to end corruption ?
We need at least one right politician to support this? How to identify this?
It is necessary to go outside the system to fix it ?
To end corruption we must seal internal holes?
Who is the right politician to believe in ?
Sixth Pay Commission: Will it end corruption?
If we closely watch the salient features of Sixth Pay Commission we can conclude that government has tried to introduce at least a few features of corporate salary structure. An exotic term (at least for government jobs) ‘Pay Band’ has been introduced, which hitherto are known to be used in private jobs offering fat salary. So now babus’ pay scale will be called as pay band. It is really a smart move to bring professionalism in government jobs.

Taxpayer public is asking some simple questions. Whether this Pay Commission will end corruption and will babus work efficiently and professionally as in private jobs? In my opinion it is no.
Government officials will continue taking bribes as it was in past. No matter whatever salary hike is there.

Hence you cannot expect any change in ‘the lot’ who are habitually corrupt. Of course, newly recruited official may be having some reason not to take bribe till the time salary in other jobs is not hiked. Removing corruption from these offices is quite an uphill task. Still, it can be removed if somehow their salary is increased then the market rate or fear of losing their respective job arises in them for not working efficiently. But most importantly, public has to raise its voice and stop giving them bribes.
