The Journey So Far:
I entered the DoT as Junior Engineer and retired as Divisional Engineer. Worked in Internal and External plants of local exchanges. Worked for installation of all types of telephoe exchanges and Material Management of Metro-s till '95. Worked with private firms. Now with a law firm.
The Decisions That Matter
Understand problems, Work out system, follow the system, better today than yesterday basis, without creating any tension and expectation.
Career Profile:
My responsibility is for better classification of legal document. It is not a great job. Mostly common sense and information available are involved in majority of the work in the world. Collect relevant information and use common sense. Apply sense of significance and priority.
Degrees That Matter:
I have finished my carrier. But I recommend to read books on popular science (like "Einstein & Universe", "Hyperspace" etc), Social science ("India of my dream" by Mahatma Gandhi), Lectures on Geeta (how to deal with your self). This is over and above the technical expertise of one's field.
Working Life Management:
Take interest in work without taking it as a burden. Take the work as a service to the nation. Do not reflect your expectation while performing the work.
Done Differently:
I will work hard while in school and university.
Plans For The Future:
I am a common man in real sense. I want to remain the the same. I want to increase the knowledge in mathematics, physical and social science. If situation permits I want to see a village of my Gandhian dream.
Prized Accomplishment(s):
My officers appreciated my work and took me without considering my caste, religion and region. My staff took me to remain in phase with me and to be sincere to work. They were fearless before me when they were right and reasonable.
Changes In The Professional Environment:
Earlier corruption was less at top level. Now the corruption is at every level. When I joined the department top officers were less corrupted. Political leaders were not corrupted till 1966 in Gujarat. Once Indira Gandhi entered the politics, corrupted people flourished as she her self was corrupt
Growth Strategy:
I do not want to be leader. I would like, better to solve problems harming the nation by giving suggestions to those who are already leaders.
Other Thoughts:
Defective packing material can make your product un-done. Immorality is a packing material.

Books and websites that takes you to work for stepping up society and knowledge.
Role Model:
Lectures on Geeta by Vinoba Bhave, Eistein and Universe, India of my dream by Mahatma Gandhi. These three books or persons gave me the clear picture of three worlds viz. Mental, Physical and social world for understanding in right perspective.
