Main sufferers are the road and highways it selves- these have not been designed to carry such loads, result is premature damages of road.

Next sufferers are general public whose life is at stake due running of these monsters on roads, literally out of control. If any of you have sit in the cabin of a loaded truck, then only you can imagine the magnitude of risk. These overloaded trucks are  moving almost out of control, because there control mechanism is not designed for that load.

I have a good idea to control all these menace only if we have strong will. Today a major part of goods are moving through National Highways. These Highways are now toll roads, and at every 60-70 Km we have a toll plaza for toll collection. If we install Weighing Bridge at every bay of Toll Plazas, and insure that each and every vehicle passes only through weigh bridge  and after weighment. The problem is salved almost.

Now we have to insure that no one is allowed through toll plazas with loads  exceeding the permissible limits. This is in the interest of NHAI (National Highways Authority Of India) also.

Majour hurdels will pose the transport lobby, those have to controll with strong political/ administrative will. This  is to be insured that any compounding scheme or like that are not offered. Becaause if we allow any one to overload with penalty that very idea distroys the whole system. If one person is correct after paying penalty, then the person not paying penalty is how wrong.
