Champaner: Beautiful Historical Place in Gujarat
India is famous in all over the world for its historical tourist places and beautiful culture. Every year thousands of visitors from different parts of the world travel to India to view its historical buildings. There are several cities in India that are known for its historical buildings and one among these is Champaner.
The city was previously known by the name “Muhammadabad”. It is situated in the district of Panchmahal in Gujarat and is very much of its huge collection of historical buildings which attracts thousands of visitors every year.
There are several attractions in the city that are worth seeing and some of these are the Jama Masjid, the Archaeological Park of Champaner and its beautiful picnic spots. The Archaeological Park of the city is known by the name “Champaner- Pavagadh Archaeological Park” which is listed in the UNESCO world’s heritage site.
Other attractive site of Champaner is the Jama Masjid which is designed very beautiful and is an example of excellent Islamic art. It has a central dome surrounded by two minarets, 7 Mihrabs and 172 pillars and the nicely curved entrance gate. The beauty of the city attracts not only visitors but the filmmakers also.
To travel to the city you use a bus or train service. You can also prefer the Vadodara Airport to approach the city. At the airport plenty of low cost sharing and private taxi services are provided to take the visitors from the airport to Champaner.
