The town of Vrindavan is also popular by the name of Vraj. This town lies in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh in India. According to the great epic, Mahabharata, this is the same place where Lord Krishna used to spend the days of his childhood. It is located at a distance of 10 kilometers approximately from the city of Mathura, which is actually the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The town of Vrindavan is home to a number of temples. Out of them, most of the temples are dedicated to God Krishna and Radha. This is the reason why, this place is of great importance to the pilgrims. Every year a large number of pilgrims visit this town from every part of the globe.

This town is also well known for the various acts and dramas performed on the theme of Krishna Ras lilas and other incidents of the life of Lord Krishna. Besides, the evening aarti is also a popular attraction of Vrindavan which is attended by a number of religious minded people.

The Agra Airport which is located at a distance of 67 kilometres, is the next door airport to the town of Vrindavan. The services of trains and buses can also be used for reaching this town. There are several guest houses and hotels in the Vrindavan town which offers good accommodation services.
