HEALTHY MENU FOR KIDS: How To Prepare A Healthy Menu For Your Child.

Teaching children the difference between right and wrong when it comes to eating well can sometimes become a major challenge. With children, their cravings for food always tend to lean more in the direction of fast food restaurants rather than foods that come from the fruit and vegetable section of your favorite grocer.

Nutrition is a very important part of a healthy menu and we all know that our kids will not get that from eating the foods that they want (fast foods), it is something that can only be consistently obtained through eating the 'correct" foods...such as fruit and vegetables.

This is something that we must teach our kids in their early stages of development if we want them to live happier and healthier lives.

By teaching your children to love certain foods early, they will learn to love these foods as they grow older. For example, most children should start by eating at least 6 ounces of whole grain each day...which is something that will reduce their chances of developing heart disease and cancer.

In addition to eating the daily recommended amounts of whole grains, children should also get their share of calcium rich foods to prevent osteoporosis and to build strong bones. The most common types of calcium-rich foods to consider are: milk, yogurt, soy, cheese, canned salmon, broccoli, nuts, apricots and others.
