EARTH HOUR
Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights.
Earth Hour 2010 took place on March 27, 2010 from 8:30 PM. to 9:30 PM, at the participant's respective local time.
Why Earth Hour
Every year we all produce the major greenhouse gas Carbon dioxide gas through respiration, transportation, electricity use, disforestation. Earth hour did a lot to aware ppl abt climate change and switch off lights for 1hr once for a year is the part of aware ppl abt think abt our mother Earth. By switching off lights for 1hr , we all saving lot of energy and also creating low carbon for this hr. This small steps took by lots of countries to save our planet. At individual level we all should do sm effort to Save our Planet.
By doing all this you are not saving only the PLANET EARTH but you are saving the future of our upcoming generations.
