A level of distinction is required by every individual inorder to achieve contentment. Apart from success in personal life, satiation inwork life is also important. The factors that influence the quality of worklife are the work environment, opportunities, stress levels, career prospectsand the risk involved.

A particular job may involve constantly interacting withclients or co-employees or seniors. During this interaction you may acrossdiverse people with varied levels of temperament and attitude. The ability tohandle each client in a distinct manner cannot be achieved by one and all andthis is the major reason for mounting pressure. A particular client may acceptyour offer willingly while the other client may raise numerous questions andwould not accept your offer. Every denial can lead to stress. To attainsatisfaction, what an employee needs is success at every step.

Augmentation in career is one of the most important reasonsfor contentment. Being rewarded for your work and appreciating your efforts iswhat every employee awaits. Discrimination and favoritism should be avoided andthe right person should get the right due.

The learning opportunities that a job can offer is alsoimportant. Being able to multiply your erudite when your work becomes alearning experience, is the best education that an individual can procure. Yourwork gives you practical knowledge and every mistake you make teaches yousomething new.

A person toils day and night to earn money and feed himselfand his family. When the company gives him the appropriate salary and at theright time, the question of dissatisfaction does not arise. Perks or bonusesboosts an employee’s morale and may also enhance performance.

One should make sure that the employee does not over-work.It leads to increase in stress levels and annoyance. The employee should begiven equal opportunity to balance his work and family life. The employee tendsto lose interest in his work and the performance is bound to get affected if hehas to sacrifice his time with family. Admonishing your employee on his everystep and in front of other employees is a form of insult and not every employeecan take harsh criticism. Their mistakes can be clarified individually and witha soft attitude that may not lead to hurting their sentiments.

The other factors that can help achieve contentment arefriendly work environment, the seniors should be approachable, the amenitiesand technology should be upto date, etc. if a satiating environment is created,it will not only assure the happiness of the current employees but also assureabsorption of new employees.
