In an industry Crisis can take several shapes. There could be crisis due to inadequate funds, due to lack of manpower, due to recurring losses, due to a national calamity and so on. And the crisis always comes as a surprise and leaves you flabbergasted.

It is thus necessary to be prepared for the hit and the formula to cope up with these situations should be taught to the employees well in advance. While dealing with the crisis, the priorities should be set, one thing should be handled at a time. The long-term effects are more important than short-term losses so the differentiation should be estimated.

By developing and implementing a well defined crisis management program, business leaders can mitigate the potentially disastrous effects of an incident. It is the best test that a management can have and what you and those around you do or don’t will have long lasting implications.

What one should take care is that all the employees should be informed about the situation to impart close coordination, making sure that it does not hurt or halt the ongoing work. To stop the employees from getting ballistic, the whole scenario should be briefly explained to them along with the plan of action. As it is rightly said that ‘the achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual’
