Is Government of India over defensive.... Or U.S. more dominating ???

It did not start on November 26, 2008 but long back. Some 10 terrorists attacked the dream city of Mumbai, India. Hotel Taj, Hotel Oberoi, Hotel Trident and Nariman House were the targets. It was clear from this, that they targeted tourist’s in India from different parts of the world and high profile people in India.Over 150 people lost their lives and more people were injured leave apart the number of people who were injured mentally. 9 out of 10 terrorists were killed thanks to the rescue team, and we should also be grateful to the likes of Mr.karkare and his team who sacrificed their life injuring one of the terrorist called Kasab. Later on he was arrested by the Mumbai police. But we should also not forget the sacrifices given by NSG commandos, firemen, and hotel staff.

Incident displayed the clear failure of Government, despite of getting several alerts from different intelligence sources regarding the same. No attempts were made to stop this dreadful incident. After terror attack all the political drama started. One started pin pointing other for the cause. Some wanted to take it as an advantage in the upcoming state elections then.

Earlier there were incidents of terror in cities like Rajasthan, Bangalore & Ahmedabad but this time around matter was serious as target areas of the terrorists were different. Resignations were demanded. Home minister Shivraj Patil was busy changing his hardly mattered outfits during crucial time. He argued that it was personal. Mind you sir when you fail to do your duties nothing is personal. Many believed that he was not worth for his post and so was asked to give resignation immediately. I will say better late than never. And Mr. R.R Patil was caught saying that "Such incidents do happen in big cities like Mumbai" Perhaps he does not take Mumbai as his own home because no one will comment in this way when his home is attacked by some outsider.

Later on kasab admitted and with may evidence it was clear that terror attack on Mumbai had Pakistani links. All ten terrorists were Pakistan based and were trained in Pakistan occupied Kashmir. Some sources even said with proof that Pakistani army was involved in terror attack to an extent. By now, most of the major countries backed India. There were unscheduled visits to New Delhi and Islamabad by U.S secretary of state Ms. Rice and others.

U.S. elect Barack Obama said that India has a right to take actions against Pakistan for its protection. On the other side there were pressures on India to not attack Pakistan. When India gave list of 10 most wanted terrorists and asked Pakistan to hand them over to India as evidences showed that they were hiding in Pakistan but they plainly denied. Pakistan wanted proof for the same and said if they are found guilty then they will take actions against them and will not allow India to take any actions against them. Now is this fair?? In spite of evidences, they want proof and do not want to hand over them to India. In a way Pakistan even threatened The U.S. by saying that it will withdraw its army from western border and shift them to eastern border which happens to be Pakistan-India border. Because U.S. doesn’t want that to happen they are asking India to not attack Pakistan.Did it ask anyone before taking military actions against Afghanistan in 2001??Did U.S. stop??? Answer to both question is NO. Then the main questions are WHY INDIA SHOULD STOP JUST BECAUSE SOME NATIONS WANTS IT NOT TO ATTACK PAKISTAN??? Is it right to stop India?

Yes one can understand what a war can lead to at this point of time; consequences are going to be terrible. But one can say there is no way out. Because if some one crosses his limit after making a mistake he needs to me punched hard on his face no matter what, to avoid such kind of behavior in future. Same is the case here. No doubt there is pressure on Pakistan globally to act seriously and take actions. But the thing is, still actions are not taken against the people or group who are responsible for this terror attack.

U.S. secretary of state Ms. Rice has said that Jammat-ud-Dawa (Jud) is linked to terror and Pakistan. And Pakistan should ban it as it is in the list of UN Security Council's terror list. But JuD chief Hafiz Mohammed Saeed, whose name is separately figured in UNSC terror list, has not been arrested. Sources even say that Pakistani government within a week of the ban has started easing restriction on Jud. So what kind of pressure is there on Pakistan?? If there was a real pressure then things would have been different.

After all this we are following the instructions of the U.S. which supports Pakistani president Asif Ali Zardari. And says that civilian government of Pakistan is legitimate and wants to deal with the world in good faith. Ms. Rise further said that the Zardari government wants to take actions against terrorists. If this is the case then the people of India want to know why not a single action till date has been taken on the terrorists by Pakistan?? Why are they freely roaming in Pakistan??

The U.S. also urged India and Pakistan to continue with the composite dialogue saying that it is important for the region. We the people of India and also the Government of India know these composite dialogues are only important for the U.S. and Pakistan. Now it’s up to the people of India and its government to decide what should be the course of action!! Should we not attack and be over defense and let U.S. dominate us and leave Pakistan again so that they get a chance to master mind other terror attacks in India??? Or should we go ahead and give the answer to Pakistan for master minding a terror attack in India????
