BMA to award Welingkar Outstanding Institute of Management
Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research a reputed B-School emerged on the top, winning the trophy of 'Outstanding Management Institute of the Year' in Bombay Management Association (BMA) B-School awards amongst several nominations. The management award will be bestowed to Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, Welingkar Education by the hands of M. Damodaran, Former Chief of SEBI at the management award function which will be held in Mumbai on Tuesday, June 29, 2010.
The factors which were taken into account to decide the best Management Institute among the many B-Schools for the management award include parameters such as Physical Infrastructure of a B-School, Academic details of faculty/students of that B-School, Commitment towards professional development, External orientation, Performance of the students among other aspects for judging a B-School for management awards.
Under the 'BMA Outstanding Student of the Year Award' Welingkar Institute of Management, Development & Research added one more feather in its cap with Dr. Ramya Narayanaswamy of WeSchool, full time student of Master's Degree Course in Management winning the certificate of recognition for the management insitute.
According to Welingkar, Prof. Dr. Salunkhe has been instrumental in the achievements of the B-School. Welingkar is considered to be one of the leading B-Schools in India with its campuses at Mumbai and Bengaluru. BMA is an independent non profit making entity. Its main aim is to improve the standards of Business Management in India. Every year BMA presents the Best Management Institute of the Year Management Award to a B-School which has shown excellence in providing quality management education to its students and for meeting the standards set by the Management Institute.
