Consider these before choosing any MBA Preparation Institute
Choosing CAT preparation institute had always been a matter of confusion for MBA aspirants, as a number of CAT coaching institutes available, each one of them claiming to be the best. Here are some factors you may consider before selecting your CAT prep institute to get worth of results after spending some thousands as your preparation fees.
Faculty
The most important factor you may consider before joining a preparation institute. While you are having counseling at your shortlisted CAT preparation institutes ask them about the faculty qualification and their availability. Ask whether the faculty is full time or part time. Most of the coaching centers do provide demo classes; ask for it so you may have better idea about the faculty and their teaching methods.
Study Material
Every MBA coaching institute provides its own study material, along with full length mock tests, which you can begin taking at home in the month of August to increase your speed. You may even ask the coaching centre to have a look of the study material they would be providing. Ensure that the curriculum covers all the sections of online CAT and GD/PI too. Some coaching institutes have different programmes for beginners and for those whose basics are clear. Choose a programme which matches your requirements.
Number of Mock CATs
Institutes organize a series of mock CATs. This is one of the most important factors while considering a coaching institute for your CAT preparation. More the number of mocks, the more you will be able to improve upon your speed, strategy and score. Enquire about the infrastructure they would be able to provide to conduct online tests. Ask about the feedback sessions, if any, after the result of these mocks is out.
Batch size
Ask about the size of the batch, as individual attention is not possible in a larger batch. Hence for personal problem solving and better approachability with faculty choose smaller batch size. If you are working and are willing to prepare for CAT while working, then you can ask for weekend classes. Weekend classes are scheduled on Saturday and Sundays for working professionals.
Library
Preparation institutes have their own library, but not all of them lend books for home. Clear this point before hand.
