The Indian Institute of Management Shillong successfully concluded its second Placement Season. For the second year in succession, the placements were conducted in a cohort-based process to give a wider choice of profiles to the students and a convenient selection process to the corporates. The highly diverse batch of 66 students was placed in 24 companies with a total of 68 offers. Around 16 new companies participated in the process which is testimony to the performance of the Pioneering batch and the growing stature of IIM Shillong amongst the industry. Selection process was greatly aided by technology with 33% of the offers happening through Video Conferencing which was also preferred by the recruiters.

The highest international offer was 30 Lakhs made by the Triton Group. This placement season, the average compensation on campus was 12.36 lpa, which marked an increase of 20% vis-à-vis last year. The highest domestic offer was 18 lakhs made by an international financial institution. There were a total of 3 international offers made this year on campus.
