Dr Bakul Dholakia led Adani Institute records 100% placements; high average salary
Adani Institute of Infrastructure Management (AIIM), Ahmedabad has recorded 100% placement for its first batch of Post Graduate Programme in Infrastructure Management (PGPIM). The B-school achieved its target of placing all the 21 students in just one month of completion of the pioneering program. The achievement is noteworthy as AIIM is a newly established institution.
All Placements have been lateral placements in the respective organizations. The average salary of 21 students, placed across various organizations, is Rs. 11 lakhs per annum, which represents a more than 100% increase in their average salary at the time of joining the programme.
The highest salary offered is Rs. 17.5 lakhs, while the lowest salary offered is Rs. 7.2 lakhs.
Speaking with MBAUniverse.com, Padma Sri Dr. Bakul H. Dholakia, Director, AIIM said, "I am happy that AIIM has managed to place all our students in the first year. Our placement process started only a few months back, and all students have got lateral placements with rich job content. This is very important facet of our placements."
29 Companies participated in the campus recruitment process and made 35 job offers. Average job offers exceeded 1.6 per participant. 11 participants, representing more than 50% of the batch, received 2 or 3 job offers.

The positions offered to the participant of the first batch of PGPIM include Associate Vice President (Business Development), Sr. Manager (Road & Railways), Sr. Manager (F&A), Project Manager, Manager – Strategic Planning, Manager – Commercial, Manager – Tendering & Business Development, Manager – Business Development, etc.
40% of the batch had previous work experience in IT sector. All of them could achieve a successful career switch to managerial positions in infrastructure sector.
