Are Indian TV Viewers moving from “Sas Bahu Serial to serial based on social problems”?

Is this sign of social changes?

Today choice of TV viewers has been changed. Now they are not interested to watch long and boring serial based on sas bahu like. Few TV channel has grasp the vein of audiences and they serving serial based on social problems, stereotyped cultural and evils spread in our society.

We are looking like modern and following western culture but still there are lot of evils in our society which pushing us a long back. Need to take initiative to clean such social hindrances.

Such serial reflecting social problems should be welcomed. Director and channels doing such a good job. Obviously they are doing business and want to earn more TRP, but they steps are looking great which are appreciated by mass population, it means we know the problems overlapped to our happiness but we are hesitates to take first action.

Our country side populations are not more aware about the social, economical changes which took place and the demand of present scenario. They are stood on old and tired systems of society.

In “Balika Vadhu” serial, director has done a very good picterization, effects and served social evils like Bal Vivah, Vidhwa Pratha, and Chchuyachut in such a good manner which touches to our heart, we really bother to think on it. Another TV serial “Lado” also based on embryo/new born baby murder. How can we be so crual? Are we animal, are we don’t have heart to realize, are our mind over not our control if yes then we are mad, human eatar nothing else.

The language uses in, the monuments, village cultural, roads, farms, every pot, ornaments, dressing, way of celebrates functions, limits of relationship are giving special effects to story and giving focus to the message actual meant.

Every face is different and playing very strong character, making good appeal to viewers.

Another serial named “Uttaran” a little girl is seeking to fullfil her dreams, she born in very lower family but her willing is so high. She wants to become rich and also she sold flower on road signal to help her mother. All are looking so natural , so really, which is happening surrounding us. This is very true; many people are badly living such road class life. Because of our systems is defected. We want to earn live better life but never think to help other people living below poverty line. Our simple myth is one rich is occurs when hundreds of lower class do work under him. We don’t want to pull out lower class from their status, but never hesitates to push them in deep. We never argue on bill amount at any five star hotel while eating food, simply we give a big amount in tip but we argued many time to a vegetable vendor for just one or two rupees. What is this, are we want to check our negotiation skill. No in first case the matter related to our high status but second case, if vegetable vendor took one or two rupees higher, we feel cheating with us. Always we fight with milk vendor, auto driver, paper hawker, and labour but spend thousands of rupees on junk food, movie, and every week.

Obviously our social, political barrier and selfishness also responsible but we are not so innocent we are also involved fully because we are kept quiet and never addressed these evils. We are equal alleged for this corrupted system of society because we are not separate entity we are within the socio-political circle.
