Should media be more resonsible?
I am writing this to bring focus on what's happening in Indian news channels.Today news channels have become very irresponsible towards the society.Today media being the most powerful in the world(i believe there are literally powerful than our country prime minister) have literally failed in doing there job.They have power to influence the society like no other,and they are doing it very well but unfortunately in a negative way.
No channels is interested in raising the real issues which people of our country are facing.They are interested only in TRP ratings and make money out of it.
Recently there was a news in channels that most of the vegetable are being cultivated using sewage water in almost all major cities in the country.They made news of it for a day or two then they forgot it,where as if we look at most of the national channels these days they are FOLLOWING THE STORY OF RUCHIKA CASE AS IF GIVING A LIFE TIME IMPRISONMENT TO RATHORD WOULD SOLVE THE PROBLEM OF VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN OR AS IF IT WOULD HELP INDIA SOLVING PROBLEMS FAED BY THE COUNTRY.And same was the case with aarushi case, i dont know if aarushi was raped or not ,but media had certainly raped her character on tv.
today India is facing many more serious problems which need immediate attention.Even after more than 65 years of independence there are villages where electricity has not reached,many villages dont have proper road connection ,millions in india are deprived of save drinking water,and millons are living under poverty, politicians black many has crossed billions of dollars and many more you name it you have it.
Instead of addressing and bringing focus on these major issues they have just stick to current affairs and useless discussions on pivotal issues.
India is a land of superstitions,and media can play a big role in enlighten people on this issues by airing shows that can develop scientific temperament among citizens of india.
I have just named a few ther are 'N' number of such issues but unfortunately neither media nor the other wise responsible politicians are interested in doing.
I still have many thoughts that i would like to share but for now i want to end here.
