Mention Cambodia and the first thing which pops in every person’s mind is the Angkor Wat. This incredibly beautiful complex of temples was built by the Khmer rulers and took almost four hundred years to complete. The temple remained hidden in a forest until it was discovered almost 150 years ago. The complex is so vast that it is impossible to walk from one temple to the other. Renting a motorcycle and touring around your own is one option. The other one is hiring a local guide who usually offers transportation. Watching the sun set over the ancient temples is a sight not to be missed.
Phnom Penh, the capital city combines colonial French architecture with modern buildings and still has many fascinating Buddhist monasteries like WatPhnom, WatMohaMontrei and WatOunalom to explore. Cambodia has an amazing history and culture and it’s no wonder that travel Cambodia has become so popular.
