It is a big disturbance to the public who walk sides of the roads, school going children, office goers in bus, car and two wheelers when the contract organ of political parties dig sides of the road to erect flag poles, erect casuarinas poles to display banners of their leader images, tying tube light patties with the poles, movement of materials for this work and diverting traffic and blocking road for erecting stage in the morning hours. All political parties do not bother about the inconvenience and disturbance caused by their activities to organize a meeting across junction of primary local roads.

Who wants their meeting and who endorsed them to block roads and divert traffic? Party leaders should think if a meeting is necessary to speak against ruling party or opposition, why can’t they think of a place such as Marriage Hall, Beach or park or their party office. The police department must not allow any political party either ruling or opposition to use road junctions for organizing meetings. Public interest litigation may be filed in the High Court to stay such party meeting in public places or prevent Police Department from permitting such meetings.

All political parties must think of their voters, general public and others and the difficulties they would experience by such disturbances in organizing a meeting and refrain from using public places. If they do not show any concern, how they would look after the welfare of people and do good things to the people whether in power or out of power.

There are volunteers to file PIL but scared of aftermath. But someone must bell the cat. Otherwise the atrocities of political particles would go unchecked.
