The guest of honor at the opening ceremony noted poet, filmmaker and designer Muzaffar Ali M., a Grammy Award winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, creator of the Mohan vina and Ms. Madhumita Hindustani singer Ray were the opening performers of the party. Varchasva 2011 will end on October 2 with a concert featuring three of Bollywood playback singer Suraj Jagan idiots, Delhi Belly, and the rock at fame. Varchasva 2011 also seek to promote the lesser known art forms of India with the performance of the company Bijay Sahoo Gotipua Odisha leave the session with his hand shadowgraphy by participants from India Got Talent Amar Sen and Sabyasachi Sen on 1 October 2011.

Varchasva 2011 attracted the largest attendance of festivals among students and aims to provide a common platform for students of IIM, IIT, NIT, NIFT and local colleges in Lucknow to compete and bring out the best in the field of culture and sport. Participants came from 28 different universities, including IIM Indore, MDI Gurgaon, SP Jain Institute Mumbai, IIFT Delhi, FMS Delhi, IMT Ghaziabad, IIM Ranchi, IIM Udaipur,  IIM Rohtak, NMIMS Mumbai, IIT Kanpur and Rae Bareli NIFT.

There will be a total of 16 sports and 16 cultural events. All events will take place at the sprawling campus of IIM Lucknow, which has one of the best infrastructure among all B-schools in India.

For more information about the festival, which recorded 131,329 hits since its launch Sept. 6, 2011. Medium-sized online campaign to more than 1,600 fans on Facebook, Twitter and Youtube are also tough Varchasva 2011. Segment Varchasva 2011, with competitions such as quizzes, essays, comics and film are held open until September 20, 2011 and to date is approximately 12 individual winners.

Varchasva 2011 is an attempt to break the misconception that management does not gel with sport and culture. One can clearly see that the future leaders of the business world is not only competitive in terms of management, but also are well aware of our rich cultural and traditional heritage and is just as competitive in a sporting event.
