IBM recently announced that YCMOU is one of the winners portfolio of five sites in the prices of "projects of Smarter Planet" for his cooperation.

Other institutions selected for the program are IIT Mumbai, IIT Delhi College of Engineering, Pune and PSG Tech, Coimbatore.

The project, based in Nasik YCMOU, focuses on intelligent information and communications technology (ICT) enabled the delivery of education content for the University of 3,50,000 students in 35 districts of Maharashtra and its study of several centers in across the country, Belesere said.
