This time also public had the eagerness for the budget announcement and were looking for some relief as the whole 2012 witnessed increase inflation through prices rise in petrol, CNG and taxes. Now finance minister, Dr Pranab Mukherjee has finally announced the budget for the coming financial year 2012-13. As always, many things goods have been made dearer and many cheaper. With the increase in the service tax to 12 percent television, electronics, automobile, air travels etc will now cost more than earlier, although heath services have been made a little cheaper. Recent hike in the railway travel fare has already triggered the common public as already they are bearing the pain of inflation. Now with increased air travel fares, public will feel quite helpless as from petrol to air and rail travel prices, everything associated to travel is now getting costly day by day.
Elections are also now over and rumours are going strong that petrol prices might be hiked again by Rs 5 and if hiked then it will surely give jitters to the general public. Finance minister has blamed the current economy situation and said this budget will revive the economy, so it looks like the aam aadmi will pay the price for the revival of the economy.
