No time to breathe, no time to share … we have no time to stand and stare !!

As the hours and minutes speed away, the fear of not getting everything ready on time starts to creep in. The timings the location the guests the arrangements, all tumble into the brain all at once and you wish with one fell swoop everything would fall in place ..

The Mumbai Premier is but one aspect of many other such events that need to be planned. The dangers of mismanagement, of leaving out names from the list, of forgetting important decisions all go to make the kind of framework called .. confusion !! So indeed I must begin by the morrow and block and initiate timings and informations to friends and those that will be coming to the events.

Aamir dropped by yesterday in the morning at my invitation and it was lovely to spend time with him, discuss the film, show him the promo, receive his appreciation, talk about his own film and invite him for the premier. And Balki now as he does the finals in Chennai, wishes that I drop by for a day to have a final look at the background and the mix, before it all goes into print. This is the stage when the film according to me is actually made. It is the crucial manner in which one shall bring all to a front that shall determine where the fortunes of the film lie. It is these moments that can lift the film to excellence or at times destroy it beyond repair.

Our fate now lies in the hands of technicians. No labor of make up or performance or writing and execution shall prevail until those committed hands play their cards to perfection.

I am in guilt that there has been no attempt to respond with the yellow for several days now. I shall and soon. Its just that the right frame of mind and thought should be found, in order that justice can be prevailed. Justice in getting to the very maximum that come on by a reply. Justice in not leaving those that may never have opportunity. Justice in being able to reply to so many different misconceptions.

Auro … has been prevalent for most of the afternoon and the evening. Any number of mobile messages for print and radio to the far off lands like Vancouver in Canada and in Dubai and world wide were connected to him and he enjoyed talking to all. Abhishek came in for just a day to conduct some interviews and to generally oversee the procedures for the release, and has now gone back to Ashutosh Gowariker in Goa and his new film.

I must start rehearsing for the poetic symposium to be held on 28th November at the Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan . And not just myself. There is work to be executed on the day by all members of the family and they need to be rehearsed and found appropriate in their diction and manner before they become liabilities.

So this is short .. but full of meaning and emotion .. bigger shall follow in time …
