So a disappointing end for the Deccan Charges to the other semifinal in the IPL. Chennai Super Kings have just won and now its Sunday and Mumbai play Chennai in the finals. Should be a ringer !!

Someone sent me an interesting quote -

” To escape criticism, say nothing, do nothing, be nothing ”

Fine ! But how does one survive. It would be impossible to exist in such a vacuum. How could anyone even breathe in these circumstances. So you go ahead and do what is required of you, in the limit of your circumstances, and hope that those that derive vicarious pleasure in criticism, remain either unknown or irrelevant.

The call for this is difficult. It would be impossible to remain in the status of celebrity and not be compelled to be judged all the time. I see it happening every moment. It maintains its importance for a few days and then … nothing. Human nature does not permit this to happen for too long. The media both print and electronic shall respectfully honor the demands and needs of such act for a limited period of time. Make their breaking news, do sponsored debates, encourage panel discussions and then close down the channel for the day, without reaching any conclusive act or desire. It is the way of the world. And it has happened many a time with me and us.

Solution –

Calm and quiet demeanor. Shutting out all else untill mesage is being taken and work assured again ,for the fulfillment of a dream. I think it is important that on occasions, such a discipline is adhered to. Without it we would be orphans. Discipline will bring about the new kid around the block. Strengthen him or her with fortitude and reason. Allow space for debate and clarification, reach a conclusion and then set them out like the proverbial, evil.

Were he or she to err. You know it … mobile.

And then the day comes when I shall be honoured , and we move on along with mr Rashtrapati, and recognition.

Wiil see you tomorrow as I paddle away some distance without any precaution.
