He put the skulls in his bag and went down to a nearby village. He sat down and laid the four skulls out before him. Of those who passed that way he asked, pointing to the skulls, “Which of these men was the wisest?” No one could answer.  The very sight of the demon and the skulls sent a chill through them all.  Vikata said, “No answer?” So he seized them and put them into his bag. This went on for a couple of days.
