In our day today lives one of the hardest thing is losing those people we love and care about the most. When left by a loved one you feel the whole world has turned against you and everything is upside down. Many times when we are in this state you want to give up everything because you feel there is no future to look forward to. Well, I know it is tough but have you tried getting over it? You may say it is very tough but how about trying these few things.

Accept it – The hardest bit of losing the person you love is accepting the fact that you lost something very valuable to you. The moment you learn to accept the loss it eases the healing process. This should be your initial step to recovery.

Talk to someone or Seek Counseling – Talking to those people who are very close to you really helps a lot. It’s difficult to open up to someone but when you speak out it really helps a lot in relieving your brain of the thought of loss.

Try forgiveness – Forgiving goes a long way in healing a broken heart. Usually after loss we blame our selves or other people for our failure. Forgiving ourselves or those we consider to be responsible for our loss heals the wounds easily.

Don’t retaliate – Usually in the course of our loses we do retaliate. Take for example Zinedine Zidane lost all his fame in a split second when he head butted Marco Materrazi in a football match that was lost by France yet he would have taken that crucial penalty which would enable France to win the tournament.

Moving on – After going through all the initial steps of recovery, it is time you trusted someone again. It is time for you to build new relationships and trusted someone again. True restoration comes with one’s willingness to open up. Time is a healer and with time things work out well.
