Many more Sukhrams......
In the last couple of days there was a news item on Print as well as Electronic Media about Mr. Sukhram the former Union Communication minister getting convicted in a case for possesing disproportionate income...so far so good... but have you observed a peculiar phenomenon, none of our elite editorial people or the chiefs of any national political party had anything to comment on such an important news. Let me remind you that what you see in Sukhkrams case is just the tip of an iceberg.We have in our polity & beaurocracy many more such Sukhrams. In fact if at all ( Which I am sure is hardly expected !) the CBI or the Economic offence wing of IT Department decided to conduct a check all our so called National Leaders & political parties & All the former & current Ministers, I am sure almost 99.99% of them wolud be found to be in the same laegue as that of Sukhram. With already more than one crore cases pending in our judiciary , we will hardly have any time to look after these new mountains of corruption. How come many Ministers & party chiefs , without having any vocation, job or profession claim to have crores of rupees in their kitty? Supposing that we decide to unearth all this illgotten money only from ploticians , I am sure all our National debt can be written off in one stroke! We have to wake up as people of this free nation & what is required to my mind is radical Surgery to wipe out corruption from our political system. Corruption in Politics , to me is a far bigger & bad cancer than , what me as a Cancer surgeon see in my patients. Let us sharpen our scalpels & launch out a war on this political Cancer...
