Will Rahul Gandhi be the next PM?
Congress General
secretary Rahul Gandhi has said he has "no chance" of becoming the
Prime Minister if the party returns to power in the coming Lok Sabha elections
but added he "cannot say anything about distant future".
"No chance. Since Congress has decided on present
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as its prime ministerial candidate of the UPA,
the question does not arise," he said, while interacting with tribals here
yesterday.
"As to whether I will be prime minister candidate in 2014, I cannot say anything about distant future," the 38-year-old replied when a youth in Sanalivillage of Danta taluka here asked him when he would become the prime
minister.
Gandhi ended his two-day whirlwind tour of Gujarat today evening.He started the second day of his tour by visiting Ambaji temple in North Gujarat early this morning.Then he went to Gandhinagar where he inspected an enrollment drive by youth Congress.
After Gandhinagar, Gandhi visited the Youth Congress enrollment booth in Khanapur area here and met with people who had lined up to join the party
