Misuse of IPC section 498(A)
IPC section 498(A) is totally failure to stop dowry. Mainly this section is used to those people who want to make money in very short time. In metropolitan cities people has been misuse of this section. Number of fake cases has been register in everyday under this section. And the interesting thing is 99 percent cases has been settle down out of the court. It means IPC section 498(A) is very good tool to make lots of money. In india we are spends lots of money in marriages. After marriage (One month, 6 month or One year) if some differneces has comes between husband and wife and situation is uncontrol. In that case bride side has demanded lots of money from groom side to settled all these things. 10,00,000 Rs. or 20,00,000 Rs. is very nominal things. There is no base to demand huge amount. It's all happen under IPC section 498(A), means bride side has use this section for threaten to groom side.
This section is good but those peopls are not benefitted who are really affected to dowry.
It's really need to closely monitoring of those person who are make lots of money to misuse for this section.
