Judging Yourself
One of the reasons why so many people have such a hard time achieving what they want in life is because of their limiting beliefs. And many of these limiting beliefs come when we begin to judge ourselves. Self-judgment can be among the harshest judgments that we face in our lives and it can also be the most damaging.
People who have a harsh view point of themselves often do not allow themselves to be open to new ideas or new ways of approaching their lives. They may also feel that they are unworthy of changing or of living the life that they want to.
It is often said that we can be our own worst enemies in life. And this is true when we judge ourselves too harshly or do not allow ourselves the room for failure in our lives and accept that failure as just a lesson learned and not something more. If you were to begin a business and you do not immediately see the results you are after, you may feel a need to put yourself down or to allow it to be yet another example of why you cannot achieve success in life.
That, however is not true.
Some of the most successful people in life have been failures at one point or another. Abraham Lincoln himself, failed in most of his attempts at politics. Although he won the presidency, he had lost two elections to the senate prior to his presidency. Had he judged himself too harshly, we may never of had one of our greatest presidents in our country's history and the world as we know it may not exist.
You can learn from your failures and allow yourself to grow. Or you can let them get you down and keep you from achieving what you want in life.
The choice is yours...what do you choose?
