Summary of my proposed dream project

Proposed Project: 

1. To provide free and quality education to the brilliant children who are unreachable / untouchable poorest of the poor (irrespective of their caste, creed, religion) and living in very remote areas.
2. To introduce the potential, of the most brilliant among them, to the Society, Nation and the world at large.

Proposed name of the project:

  Children Welfare Foundation (CWF)

Type:

  Voluntary and Non-Profit Institution (Trust)

Current Mission:

To begin by establishing the first educational institute in a very remote and peaceful location, like some village preferably near to holy Ganga River in the Himalayan region.

The plan is to establish a multi-dimensional educational institute with modern classrooms and curriculum. It will also have facilities for computers, sports, fine and performing arts, spiritual and cultural interests, etc. The aim is to develop world class citizens, with strong characters and leadership skills, who could venture into today’s competitive world and excel in their respective fields. The plan is to begin with 100 children between the ages of 8 to 12 years.

Objective/Purpose/Aim:

1. The major thrust will be around bringing literacy among those brilliant children who cannot even think of getting education because of living at the grass-root level. They can be the poorest from backward castes, scheduled castes and tribes, financially weak communities in rural and remote areas, socially underprivileged classes, and handicapped people. The thrust will be also to help them to stand on their feet so that they not only take care of themselves but also take their communities forward.
2. The most meritorious students of the lots will be identified. There will be tie-ups with bigger and prominent schools for providing admissions to these meritorious students either for free or on scholarship basis and help them in pursuing their higher studies after completing their primary education in our institution.
3. Arrangements will be made to provide vocational training to the rest so that they can work to improve their social and economic conditions and join the main stream of the society as its useful members.
4. Psychological help will be provided to give them hope and boost their leadership skills by boosting their self-esteem. The aim is to provide them with a positive environment and help them foster positive alternatives to improve their socio-economic conditions. For this, they will be psychologically empowered with a sense of equality in society, right to their own voice, a sense of pride in their community, and a sense of responsibility towards the society and their own community.
5. Helping them excel in their lives through a holistic development which is attained through academic excellence, professional competency, and improved interpersonal skills.
6. Opportunities of work and building financial security will be provided to them. All possible initiatives will be taken to provide them with a better and dignified life. They will be further encouraged to in turn to something for the betterment of their village or community.
7. A strong foundation will be inculcated towards an integrated educational system suited to today’s fast changing world.
8. We shall strive to bridge the gap between policy and practice, towards these communities, at the national level. Efforts will be made to promote human values, culture and commitment in society.
9. All the efforts will be made with the entire rural community and not an individual, in mind. Improving their socio-economic status and making them self-reliant will be of utmost importance.

Study Curriculum: The proposed subjects mainly comprise the following:

1. Hindi
2. English
3. Mathematics
4. General Knowledge
5. Computer Science
6. Physical Education, Exercise, Yoga, Meditation etc.
7. Fine and performing Arts like drawing, music, dance, etc.
8. Other Vocational, Spiritual, Cultural etc. courses & activities

Working Team / Management:

Will be group of enlightened professionals, educators, businessman, prominent / philanthropic personalities etc. from various fields with a selfless desire to set up and run proposed institute, in a professional, modern and ethical manner, aiming to be a role model for a new revolution in education and social services.

From planning to implementation of the proposed project will be done by the management as teamwork. The team shall work towards a commonly decided and accepted policy made by the management with specific areas of work for each of the members of the team.

What I am looking for?

I am looking for selfless and dedicated professionals, educators, Industrialists, businessmen,  prominent / philanthropic personalities, etc. from various fields to be a part of the management and volunteers for my project. They shall begin with fundraising and other events. Also, on immediate basis, I need volunteers for designing a secure web site for this project. You can be working from your home country or abroad and still be a part of the team. Getting together of supportive, like-minded, committed people will make a real impact.

What can you do?

If you are looking to get involved in honest and selfless social activities and make a difference, if you have skills, enthusiasm or experience that could help change the lives of some of the poorest of poor but most brilliant children; then you can do a lot. You can help me from anywhere in the world with your suggestions, work, promotion, donations, etc.

What you can put in?

You may have experience in a relevant field such as education, project management, social work, child care, administration, legal, fundraising or publicity. Or you may have the energy, enthusiasm and imagination to get involved in other ways.
