Why did Farah Khan decline jury invite?
Choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan has declined an
invitation to serve on the main jury of the 59th Berlin International Film Festival
- the Berlinale - Feb 5-15.
"I have been invited to be on the main
jury of the Berlin Film Festival,"
Farah, who is credited with hits like 'Main Hoon Na' and 'Om Shanti Om', told us,
adding that the 10-day schedule was too demanding and she had instead decided
to be there just for three days as a panellist for a forum that will be a part
of the renowned film festival.
"I would have to be there for 10 days
but my schedule for 'Nach Baliye' and more importantly, my babies, don't permit
me to do so. But because 'Om Shanti Om' was so popular there, they do want me
to attend the festival. So I'll be going for a shorter time," she said.
Farah is married to film editor and
director Shirish Kunder and is a mother of triplets. These days, she is busy
judging Star Plus' dance reality show 'Nach Baliye 4'.
