The art of lying.

Some people consider lying to be morally wrong regardless of the circumstances. Nevertheless the vast majority of people often find themselves having to lie in the course of their day to day lives. The thing you should keep most in mind when concocting a lie is keeping it simple. I've seen my friend get caught lying countless times because they panic and make the lie needlessly complicated. Remember, the more details you add to the lie the more details you have to remember, and the more chances the person you're lying to will have to catch you. When questioned for details, saying I don't know or I don't remember will work more often then you would expect.
Another good thing to keep in mind when lying is what the person you're lying to expects to hear. It's easy to convince people of things they already believe. If the person you're lying to suspects you've done something wrong, it will be near impossible to convince them you're completely innocent, but it is relatively easy to make them think you committed a lesser crime than the one you did. People enjoy being proved right, so they tend not to look too closely at the evidence if you're telling them what they had already decided had happened.
Lying is more of an art than a science, so these aren't guaranteed techniques. Please use them at your own risk, and remember that telling the truth is usually a better idea than trying to get away with a lie.
