The Journey from Mind to Soul
The biggest sign of a true leader is the calmness of their mind, their conviction to their mission, and unshakable trust in their acts.
That forms an external appearance of true leaders. Any naive will conclude that, that is what made them the leader, and try to promote and imitate the external appearances, by acting calm and look unshakable. Most of the people miss out the source of the calmness and the source of the decision of the acts that comes along with an unshakable faith.
Mind has a primary function to thinking and analyzing, and make right critical decision as it is trained to do. It has capacity to create a world of its own, for example like the one it does in dream. Mind is a two-way sword, while it can serve a man in his mission, at the same time has life of its own. Given a chance, it would prefer to live a life of its own using our body for its own purpose. In our symbiotic body mind is an organ like any other organ. Scientist knows only 5% of its mystery.
Majority of the people cannot imagine their existence beyond their mind. An existence of soul is unimaginable for most, leave alone being in touch with it. They struggle in their mind doing all mental juggling, of right/wrong, good/bad. Living in their own world of perceptions acting based on perception rather than reality, getting hard hit, taking wrong conclusions. Finally, they build layer of shell around them, baring themselves from the real life. Most of the people imprison themselves in many layers of false perception, which limits their possibility. With age they go more deeper into the dark shell.
Soul while has a universal existence has no need of redefine itself. Mind being bourn with body as just an organ has a craving for defining itself. People who are not in touch with their soul, are constantly in search of their own self and their identity. The search for identity causes identifying themselves with religion, status, fame, community, name, personality, virtues, and the list never ends but the void never fills. The mind defends furiously the sense of identity, because without that it has no existence. In a collective manifestation, it has created world wars.
Unlike soul, the mind is short lived; it takes birth with body and dies with it. The fear of death is very natural to it. That root fear creates a network of other fear. Those fears in mind do influence all the decisions taken by mind. Survival remains the primary concern of the mind. This is an very influential factor in creating an uncanny perpetual fear in human being. In the endeavor to get rid of those fears human being does many unnecessary act.
Soul is ultimate source of joy. In absence of that natural joy, people tend to indulge in temporary pleasure, which is follows by another sense of void or pain. Jumping from pleasure to pleasure never ends. Mind in an attempt to give meaning to it creates its own pleasure from mental juggling, and sensual pleasure. The craving for pleasure never ends. In some highly modern society people are also involved in cruel and obscene act for pleasure.
The above three factors influences all the decision taken by mind. At Next Generation Leader, we call it three major influencing factors. As long as the soul is not realized, there is no respite from those three factors. The mind always keep you suppressed not letting you realize your universal source of power through your soul.
Soul in the other hand is enormously powerful. Being and universal being, it is never alone, It is always connected to other souls. It speaks the language of truth and universal brotherhood. The decision it takes are extremely clear and, only focused at universal goodwill. With each decision, it unleashes an enormous source of power to realize it. The power as I have personally witnessed is so enormous that it can move earth. It leaves no room for confusion and doubt. The decisions made from the soul are equally astounding and powerful. The decision made from soul does not seek social acceptance, not to protect one’s own self, not aimed at mental or sensual pleasures of any kind. The decisions are fearless and many a time does defy logic of mind. Those decisions come naturally.
When the realized saint MK Gandhi said the followings, he was not telling a theory or concept, He was speaking only tangible truth that exists.
[Truth is by nature self-evident. As soon as you remove the cobwebs of ignorance that surround it, it shines clear. – MK Gandhi]
The journey to realization is a painful journey it is like rebirth. Giving up of one’s own false self is very painful, but the journey is worth it. It requires a realized coach who can cause the rebirth. After that prevails everlasting peace and happiness. A silence of mind, which was never experienced before. A sense of real freedom. A power to cause miraculous result. A power to see the truth under pile of lie.
The life of a true human being does really starts after realization. Without realization, life is madness.
