'I don't want to compromise on Rani Lakshmibai'

She's the perfect combination of beauty and brains and it is this trait that helped her win the Miss Universe crown in 1994. We are talking about the unmistakable aura of Sushmita, the 'sen'sation, who makes it to the headlines for some reason or the other, be it her numerous link-ups or her absence from the bada parda . But with her wits in place, she wisecracked that as opposed to 2008 there would be an overdose of her in the coming year.

"This year, I was busy shooting and there were several post-production delays. But in 2009, there's Dulha Mil Gaya with Shah Rukh Khan, a David Dhawan film Do Not Disturb and Karma, Confesssions and Holi with Randeep Hooda and Naomi Campbell," she filled us in.

The actor seemed visibly excited to have worked with Naomi. Talking about her experience of working with the supermodel, she said, "Naomi is like a child. She can throw tantrums and be difficult at times. But at the end of the day, she is a great human being, very hard working and gorgeously stunning." But with two of the world's most beautiful women together, didn't they ever get catty? "Not at all," assured Sushmita, adding, "In fact, we got along like a house on fire."

About her home production Rani Lakshmibai , Sushmita is still excited about it. She is in no mood to give in to the recession, and 'shelving' rumours. "I don't want to make any compromises with this venture. That's why I want to take it slow, following the global meltdown. Never mind if I have to put the project on hold for some time. I want everything perfect for this movie," she said.

Besides Rani Lakshmibai , the actor has another ambition – to do a Bengali film. "I've been offered Bengali films but nothing has ever materialized. But when I do a Bengali movie, it better be a masterpiece!" she said.
