Another movie which has left a lasting impression on many individuals (if not all) other than RDB, is the movie by the name of Taxi No 9211. It was a thriller but had a lot of human sentiments and emotions to it. The main protagonists of the story were 2 ordinary people - very eccentric and hot tempered. One was Nana Patekar who used to drive a taxi on the streets of Mumbai bearing the number 9211 (and hence the name) and the other being John Abraham - suave, sophisticated and classy - having all the riches in the world and anything that money can buy.

Nana Patekar used to tell his wife that he was an insurance agent and used to leave home in his usual office wear with his briefcase and tiffin box and used to drive a taxi for a living. The reason being that - who wud like to employ a guy who has changed 23 jobs in 15 years. John Abraham on the other hand was the son of a rich multi millionaire who cud have left him with a lot to live life in luxury forever. But that was not supposed to me. His father entrusted the money and other property related issues with his close aide and friend and John has to prove it in court to get all his wealth back. As fate would have it, John and Nana meet on an eventful morning and John has to take a ride in Nana’s cab to get to court as his car meets with an accident. All set and done, it was the ride of his life that John wouldn’t have asked for. But it was not destined to be that way.

An accident changes the course of proceedings and Nana finds himself in police custody. But surprisingly enough John is unable to find the key to the locker which has the documents which will allow John to get the custody of his father’s wealth. Now, that is with Nana when John dropped it in the cab in the melee. One event leads to another and then starts a game of cat and mouse between the 2 characters. Finally, each one realises that there is a lot more to life than this rivalry and each one goes his own way getting to understand the fact that its a mean mean world.

The most important thing shown is the value of human relationships. Sameera Reddy who plays John’s love interest is only interested in his money and quits him the moment she gets to know that he won’t be getting the money anymore. His friends desert him and tell him that they are willing to buy his flat, car etc for a price. It also shows the 2 faces of human life. One who has everything and yet cannot find love from his friends, fiancee etc and on the other hand a poor man who has the love of his wife and child but no money. The movie is amazing and well executed for a number of scenes despite the fact that the plot has been borrowed from the Ben Affleck, Samuel Jackson starrer - Changing Lanes.
